A poor diet can be the best reason for a body detox, but even those who eat vegetables and go to the gym need a detox to maintain optimum health. There’s really no way around it, a detox or a detox diet can be the difference between poor health and great health and feeling OK and feeling great!


Sometimes the diet isn’t realized until sickness develops. Many foods that are fine to eat once in a while build up in the body and weigh it down over time. These include: fast food, junk food, red meat, dairy products, processed and refined foods. A healthier lifestyle consists of a detox diet. A detox diet can be consumed with great benefit, no matter the state of one’s health. In fact, to maintain a detox diet over time keeps the body at optimum health. This can be done anytime for any length of time desired. To use a detox diet is the most natural way to give oneself a detox.


rawfoodEveryone will need to detox eventually. Even the best detox diets can’t account for environmental toxins. These toxins are not only in food but they come from the water, the products we use, such as cleaning supplies and beauty products, such as shampoo and soap and the pesticides on the lawns. No one is completely free from these environmental invaders. Even those who maintain a detox diet will need a detox.


Those who do not exercise regularly will need a detox as well as those who do. Sedentary lifestyles allow many toxins to build up in the body, which can be offset with a detox diet and a detox. Sedentary lifestyles shut down the system and nothing is flowing the way it should. The heart has to pump faster to make up for the congestion in the veins. This puts stress on the entire body. The colon is cramped and elimination isdetox hindered, while symptoms of illness begin to surface. Those who do exercise regularly can also benefit from a detox diet and a detox to help eliminate the additional lactic acid.


Weight loss is the frosting on the cake for maintaining a detox diet and giving oneself a detox, as necessary. A detox diet is the natural diet for weight loss and should be maintained for as long as possible. That’s not to say one can’t eat red meat or cake now and then. A detox diet will compliment the little splurges that go with life. It’s actually a detox diet and a detox that makes splurging now and then perfectly fine, without disrupting one’s health or weight. So have a steak dinner with dessert and don’t forget your body detox!
